This is a print of an original acrylic painting: Derelict Wall Study by Saffron Skies founder Lucy Howell (2014) printed on high-quality 250-300gsm recycled white-grain card and hand signed with white acrylic.
Prints are 5x7" and unframed.
This piece is from Dereliction and Decay collection of work.
"This collection is made up of mixed media pieces representing the themes of dereliction and decay. Throughout this project I wanted to push the boundaries of these forgotten places and inspire the viewer to question what "could be" rather than what is right in front of them.
The initial imagery became more and more abstract as the project progressed, with collage and colour distorting the familiar shapes. The final piece combines 4 different sections of a derelict building to create a new room that is exciting and a little bit confusing for the viewer, forcing them to question what could be, rather than creating something instantly recognisable."
