Saffron Skies was born in early 2020, designed to make use of all the beautiful discarded textiles that are sent to landfill every year.
With big dreams and hopes for lovely markets, workshops and chats about upcycling, textile art and sustainability, we had no idea what was ahead of us!
Fast forward to now and thankfully lots has changed, however we have still stayed true to our original focus: creating bespoke pieces from quality fabrics and giving them a new lease of life to be used and loved again for years to come.
All of our packaging is plastic-free and recyclable. We even save our tiny offcuts to make patchwork and scraps cards to truly stay as zero-waste as possible!
the faces behind the brand

Lucy is the owner and founder of Saffron Skies. She's the one designing and making most of our products in the studio, posting on socials and at our stalls. When she's not sewing or painting, you'll probably find her outside walking, at yoga in the woods or wild swimming when the weather allows (and sometimes even when it doesn't...!)
Shaun is Lucy's partner and regularly gets roped into helping out. He's often at our stalls and has the most important role in the studio, making the tea!
Lucy's mum and dad, Martin and Shyla, are huge parts of Saffron Skies too - from helping out at stalls, making some of our products, building wooden display units, testing new designs and so much more, the business wouldn't be what it is without them.
